Target Information
Survivin (IAP4)는 Inhibitors of Apoptosis Protein (IAP) 유전자 패밀리 중 가장 작은 구성원입니다. IAPs는 세포 신호전달, 세포 분열, 대사 등 다양한 세포 기능에 관여하며, 대부분의 정상 조직에서는 발현되지 않지만 거의 모든 인간 암에서 차별적으로 발현됩니다. Survivin은 단일 BIR 도메인을 가지며, RING finger 도메인은 없습니다.
이 단백질은 세포 주기의 G2/M 단계에서 발현되며, 유사분열 방추체의 미세소관에 결합합니다. Survivin-미세소관 상호작용이 방해되면 항-아포토시스 기능이 손실되고 caspase-3 활성이 증가합니다. 또한, 성체 쥐의 외상성 뇌 손상 후 뇌 조직(성상세포 및 일부 뉴런)에서 풍부하게 발현되며, NeuN 및 PCNA와 함께 발현되는 것으로 보고되었습니다. Survivin의 과발현은 암세포의 비정상적인 세포주기 진행과 관련이 있습니다.
이 유전자는 최소 4개의 전사 변이체를 가지며, 그중 3개의 전장 형태가 확인되었습니다.
