Product Specific Information

The eBioA1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD39, also known as ectonucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase 1 (ENTPD1) or NTPDase.
CD39 is an integral membrane protein forming a homotetramer and functions as a key ectoenzyme of the immune system. It converts extracellular ATP to ADP or AMP, often working in conjunction with CD73.

CD39 expression is observed on activated lymphocytes, subsets of T cells, B cells, dendritic cells, and weakly on monocytes and granulocytes. It is also found on regulatory T cells (Treg), facilitating their migration into inflamed areas with high ATP levels. Expression on Foxp3⁺CD4⁺ cells ranges from 25–45%.

Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for use at 5 µL (0.6 µg)/test with human peripheral blood cells.
A test is defined as the antibody amount required to stain cells in 100 µL volume (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimal titration is recommended.

Important Usage Notes

• NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI).
• Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for viability detection.
• Use CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) for optimal staining with NovaFluor conjugates.
  • Add 5 µL per sample before combining with cells.
  • For single-color controls, use 5 µL per 100 µL of cell sample (10³–10⁸ cells).

NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology, featuring engineered nucleic acid dye structures that minimize spillover and spectral spread.

Target Information

CD39 is a 70–100 kDa cell surface antigen expressed on peripheral blood B cells, monocytes, T cell clones, and weakly on granulocytes. It exhibits intrinsic ecto-ATPase activity and is induced as a late activation antigen on T and B cells.
