Product Specific Information

The eBioA1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD39 (ENTPD1, NTPDase), an integral membrane protein with two transmembrane domains forming a homotetramer. CD39 functions as an ectoenzyme that removes extracellular ATP by converting it to ADP or AMP. It is expressed on activated lymphocytes, subsets of T cells, B cells, dendritic cells, and weakly on monocytes and granulocytes.

CD39 and CD73 are expressed on regulatory T cells (Treg), aiding their migration into inflamed areas with high ATP levels. Expression of CD39 on Foxp3⁺CD4⁺ cells ranges from 25–45%.

• Pre-titrated and validated for flow cytometry using normal human peripheral blood cells

Important Notes

• NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes such as propidium iodide, 7-AAD, or DAPI.
• Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for compatibility.
• CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) must be used for optimal staining.
  • Add 5 µL per sample before combining with cells.
  • For single-color controls: 5 µL per 100 µL cell sample (10³–10⁸ cells).

Target Information

CD39 is a 70–100 kDa cell surface antigen expressed on peripheral blood B cells, monocytes, T cell clones, and weakly on granulocytes. It exhibits ecto-ATPase activity and is upregulated upon T cell activation and B cell late activation.
