Product Specific Information

The eBioA1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD39, also known as ectonucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase 1 (ENTPD1) or NTPDase. CD39 is an integral membrane protein functioning as a homotetramer and plays a key role in removing toxic extracellular ATP by converting it to ADP or AMP. It cooperates with CD73 to hydrolyze ATP and is expressed on Langerhans cells, activated lymphocytes, subsets of T cells, B cells, dendritic cells, and weakly on monocytes and granulocytes.

CD39 and CD73 are found on regulatory T cells (Treg), facilitating their migration into inflamed areas with high ATP levels. Expression of CD39 on Foxp3+CD4+ cells ranges from 25–45%.

Each product contains:

• 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated for flow cytometry using normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use: 5 µL (0.6 µg) per 100 µL cell sample (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Compatibility Note:
NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI). Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains instead.

CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer:
Required for optimal staining with NovaFluor conjugates. Add 5 µL per sample to antibody cocktails before combining with cells. For single-color controls, use 5 µL per 100 µL of cell sample.

Target Information

CD39 is a 70–100 kDa cell surface antigen expressed on peripheral blood B cells, monocytes, T cell clones, and weakly on granulocytes. It exhibits ecto-ATPase activity and acts as a late activation antigen on B and T cells.
