Carrier-Free
- Reconstitution: Briefly centrifuge vial before opening to bring contents to the bottom.
- Reconstitute in sterile, distilled water to a concentration of 0.1–1 mg/mL.
- Do not vortex.
- Store reconstituted solution at 2–8°C for up to 1 week.
- For extended storage, dilute in buffer containing carrier protein (e.g., 0.1% BSA) and store aliquots at -20°C to -80°C.
Target Information
Midkine is a retinoic acid-responsive, heparin-binding growth factor expressed in various cell types during embryogenesis. It promotes angiogenesis, cell growth, and cell migration. Midkine is also expressed in several carcinomas, suggesting a role in tumorigenesis through its effects on angiogenesis.
