Target Information
WNT8A is part of the WNT gene family, encoding secreted signaling proteins involved in oncogenesis and developmental processes such as cell fate regulation and patterning during embryogenesis. Expression studies in the teratocarcinoma cell line NT2 suggest its role in early neuronal differentiation induced by retinoic acid. This gene is clustered with WNT3 on chromosome 17q21.
