Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The CD204 (MSR1) gene encodes class A macrophage scavenger receptors, which include three isoforms (types 1, 2, and 3) generated by alternative splicing. These macrophage-specific trimeric integral membrane glycoproteins are involved in physiological and pathological processes such as atherosclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, and host defense.

  • Type 1 and 2 isoforms mediate endocytosis of modified LDLs.
  • Type 3 isoform lacks this function due to altered intracellular processing and retention in the endoplasmic reticulum.
  • Type 3 can inhibit types 1 and 2, suggesting a regulatory mechanism for scavenger receptor activity.

Diseases associated with MSR1 include Barrett Esophagus and Prostate Cancer.
