They combine multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, offering the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies and the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, with the consistency of recombinant production.
These antibodies recognize multiple epitopes on the target, providing higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets. Each lot contains a known mixture of light and heavy chains, ensuring reproducibility and eliminating biological variability associated with traditional polyclonal production.

Target Information
HIF1-alpha (HIF1A) is a subunit of HIF1, a transcription factor active under hypoxic conditions in mammalian cells. HIF-1 is a heterodimer consisting of alpha and beta subunits, both belonging to the basic-helix-loop-helix PAS family of transcription factors.
HIF1 regulates transcriptional responses to hypoxia, activating genes involved in oxygen delivery and metabolic adaptation such as erythropoietin, glucose transporters, glycolytic enzymes, VEGF, and HILPDA. It also influences apoptosis, cell proliferation, and tumor angiogenesis.
Under hypoxia, HIF1-alpha interacts with p53 and undergoes MDM2-mediated ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation. It also contributes to NOX4 induction, maintaining ROS levels and promoting cell proliferation after hypoxia.
In humans, HIF1A is located on chromosome 14q and its C-terminal binds p300, forming p300/CBP-HIF complexes that regulate hypoxia-responsive genes including VEGF. Hypoxia plays a key role in various diseases such as ischemia, cancer, pulmonary hypertension, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
