Detects a band at approximately 100 kDa (predicted molecular weight of 105 kDa). Placenta lysate is suggested as a positive control.
Target Information
DDR1 is a receptor tyrosine kinase activated by collagen and regulates adhesion, cell migration, and other cellular processes. RTKs play a key role in cell communication, growth, differentiation, and metabolism. DDR1 is expressed in epithelial cells and activated by multiple collagen types (I–VI). It is overexpressed in several human tumors, including breast, ovarian, esophageal, and pediatric brain cancers. The DDR1 gene is located on chromosome 6p21.3 near HLA class I genes, with multiple transcript variants due to alternative splicing.
