For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
BUBR1 is a member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family and a key component of the mitotic checkpoint, which delays anaphase until all chromosomes are properly attached to the mitotic spindle.
Defective spindle checkpoints contribute to genetic instability and malignant transformation.
Human cells express two related checkpoint kinases derived from the BUB1 gene: hBUBR1 and hBUB1. Both monitor kinetochore-microtubule interactions during mitosis.
hBUBR1 prevents premature anaphase entry and is essential for normal mitotic progression.
BUBR1 has been detected in human cancers and identified as a binding partner of BCSG1, which may accelerate breast cancer progression by impairing checkpoint control.
