Target Information
BST2 (CD317, HM1.24 antigen, DAMP-2, tetherin)는 B세포의 발달과 성장에 관여하는 막관통 단백질입니다. BST2는 B세포 발달 과정 전반에서 높은 수준으로 발현되며, T세포, 단핵구, NK세포, 수지상세포 및 골수종 세포에서도 단백질 수준에서 확인됩니다. 연구 결과 BST2는 인간 세포에서 레트로바이러스 방출을 억제하는 역할을 하며, HIV-1 보조 단백질 Vpu에 의해 길항 작용을 받습니다. BST2의 결핍은 Vpu의 필요성을 제거하여 바이러스 방출을 가능하게 하며, 이는 HIV/AIDS 치료를 위한 잠재적 전략으로 연구되고 있습니다. BST2 기능 이상은 구내염과도 관련이 있습니다.
