Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and expressed in these systems. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information

The NFκB transcription factor was originally identified as a protein complex consisting of a DNA-binding subunit and an associated protein. The DNA-binding subunit is functionally related to c-Rel p75 and RelB p68. The p50 subunit is derived from a precursor designated p105, while p52 (previously p49) can act as an alternative NFκB subunit.
RelB does not bind strongly to NFκB sites alone, but RelB/p50 heterodimers bind with an affinity comparable to p50 NFκB homodimers. Unlike NFκB heterodimers, RelB/p50 heterodimers transactivate promoters containing κB binding sites.
