Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages:
- Better specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulations
- Broader immunoreactivity due to the larger rabbit immune repertoire
Target Information
Cyclin E belongs to the highly conserved cyclin family, characterized by periodic changes in protein abundance throughout the cell cycle. Cyclins regulate CDK kinases, with distinct expression and degradation patterns ensuring proper mitotic coordination.
Cyclin E forms a complex with CDK2, essential for the G1/S transition. It accumulates at the G1–S boundary and is degraded during S phase. Overexpression has been observed in many tumors, contributing to chromosomal instability and tumorigenesis. Cyclin E also interacts with NPAT, promoting histone gene expression and cell-cycle progression independently of pRB.
Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encode distinct isoforms, and two additional splice variants have been reported but not fully characterized.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
