MA1-21315-BTIN has been successfully used for Western blot, ELISA, immunofluorescence (IF), and immunoprecipitation (IP).
Target Information
The 6x His tag is a synthetic oligopeptide consisting of six consecutive histidine residues (HHHHHH). It is commonly expressed at the N- or C-terminal regions of recombinant proteins to enable purification by immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC).
Epitope tagging allows detection of recombinant proteins for which no specific antibody exists. His-tagged proteins can be purified via metal chelate chromatography due to the strong and selective binding of histidine residues to Ni²⁺ ions on Ni²⁺-NTA resin.
His tag-specific antibodies, such as this product, facilitate detection and co-immunoprecipitation of His-tagged proteins.
