This HiDip slide is recommended for yeasts and moulds with inactivation of disinfectants and detection of Staphylococci. Rose Bengal Chloramphenicol Agar : Recommended for selective isolation and enumeration of yeasts and moulds from foods, environmental materials and clinical . Rose Bengal dye and chloramphenicol suppresses the development of bacteria and reduces the spreading of moulds. Lecithin , sodium thiosulphate, tween 80 and histidine are the neutralizers. V.J.Agar : Recommended for the enumeration of S.aureus. Highly selective - High glycine content and lithium chloride. Detects coagulase positive Staphylococcus aureus. Based on mannitol fermentation and tellurite reduction. S.aureus appears as black coloured colonies with yellow halo
