Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) Eotaxin, recombinant mouse (rm) Eotaxin, rhEotaxin-2, and rmEotaxin-2 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of the antibody by the LAL method.
Target Information
Eotaxin-3 (also known as CCL26, Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 26) is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family. Chemokines regulate migration and localization of specific immune cells by interacting with their receptors. Eotaxin-3 is chemotactic for eosinophils and basophils, acting through the CCR3 receptor. It is expressed in tissues such as heart, lung, ovary, and in endothelial cells stimulated by interleukin-4. The gene encoding Eotaxin-3 is located on human chromosome 7. Eotaxin-3 induces migration of eosinophils and basophils at concentrations about 10-fold higher than Eotaxin.
