Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Syndecan-2 is observed.
- Reconstitute in sterile PBS to a final concentration of 0.2 mg/mL.
Target Information
Syndecans are heparan sulfate proteoglycans (HSPGs) involved in cell adhesion, tissue morphogenesis, and differentiation. They act as low-affinity co-receptors for soluble growth factors. Syndecan-2 participates in the signaling of Granulocyte-Macrophage Colony-stimulating Factor (GM-CSF) in osteoblasts and plays a regulatory role in matrix assembly. It is expressed at epithelial-mesenchymal interfaces and in prechondrogenic and preosteogenic mesenchymal condensations, regions of high morphogenetic activity.
