Product Specific Information
- In ELISAs, this antibody shows less than 2% cross-reactivity with recombinant feline IL-4 and less than 0.5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human, canine, cotton rat, mouse, and rat IL-4.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of antibody by the LAL method.
Target Information
Interleukin-4 (IL-4) is a pleiotropic, immune-modulatory cytokine produced by activated T cells and serves as a ligand for the IL-4 receptor. IL-4 exhibits a broad range of actions and overlaps with IL-13 due to shared receptor binding. STAT6 plays a critical role in mediating IL-4 signaling. The IL-4 gene forms part of a cytokine cluster with IL-3, IL-5, IL-13, and CSF2 on chromosome 5q, coordinated by long-range regulatory elements. IL-4 delta 2 is a known splice variant.
