Product Specific Information

The eBioHMb1-1 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse and rat CD29 (integrin beta 1), a 110–120 kDa member of the beta integrin family expressed by leukocytes, endothelial, smooth muscle, and epithelial cells. CD29 forms complexes with alpha integrins (CD49a-f and CD51), mediating cell adhesion, trafficking, proliferation, and differentiation.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Flow cytometric analysis of mouse bone marrow cells; ≤0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume).
Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test; antibody titration recommended for optimal performance.

Fluorochrome Characteristics:

  • Super Bright 702: tandem dye excited at 405 nm (violet laser), emission at 702 nm.
  • Recommended filter: 710/50 bandpass.
  • Light sensitive: protect from photo-induced oxidation.
  • Fixation: samples can be stored up to 3 days in the dark at 4°C using IC Fixation Buffer or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution with minimal brightness impact.

Note: When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Molecular Weight: ~110 kDa
ITGB1 is a cell surface glycoprotein expressed on various cell types, including all leukocytes. It forms heterodimers with alpha chains (α1–α6), determining VLA integrin binding properties. Functions in cell adhesion, migration, and extracellular matrix interactions.
Decreased ITGB1 expression correlates with tumor multidrug resistance. Upregulated in leukocytes during migration and inflammation. Two major isoforms, β1A and β1D, show tissue-specific expression patterns.
