Target Information
STAT4는 STAT 단백질군의 구성원으로, STAT1(52%) 및 STAT3(47%)과 높은 유사성을 보입니다.
STAT4는 Jak1 또는 Jak2에 의해 인산화되어 활성화되며, 동종 및 이종 이합체를 형성합니다.
활성화된 STAT4는 IFN-γ 활성 부위(GAS)에 결합할 수 있으며, 최대 전사 활성에는 세린 인산화도 필요합니다.
STAT4는 주로 흉선, 비장, 고환에서 발현되며, IL-12에 의해 활성화됩니다.
IL-12는 IFN-γ 유도와 Th1 반응 형성에 필수적이며, STAT4 결핍 생쥐는 Th1 발달이 저해되고 Th2 발달이 증가하는 특징을 보입니다.
또한, 바이러스 감염 시 IFN-α/β에 의한 STAT4 활성화는 IFN-γ 생성에 필요합니다.
