Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This DyLight™ 800 conjugated affinity purified antibody is directed against human ERK1 protein. Cross-reactivity is expected with human, mouse, and rat based on sequence identity of the peptide immunogen. This antibody does not react with the ERK2 isoform.
Target Information
MAPK3 (ERK1) is a serine/threonine kinase that activates p90, RSK, MSK, ELK1, and Stat3, and functions in the MAPK pathway.
ERK1 is widely expressed and regulates meiosis, mitosis, and post-mitotic functions in differentiated cells. It is activated by various stimuli, including growth factors, cytokines, virus infection, and GPCR ligands.
Functionally, ERK1 participates in signaling cascades regulating proliferation, differentiation, and cell cycle progression. Once activated by upstream kinases, ERK1 translocates to the nucleus to phosphorylate nuclear targets. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms of ERK1 have been described.
