The antibody recognizes the VSV-G epitope tag (Tyr-Thr-Asp-Ile-Glu-Met-Asn-Arg-Leu-Gly-Lys) fused to either the amino- or carboxy-termini of targeted proteins in transfected or transformed cells.
Target Information
Vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV), an enveloped RNA virus from the Rhabdoviridae family, is released from the plasma membrane of host cells by budding.
The glycoprotein (VSV G) contains a domain in its extracellular membrane-proximal stem that is required for efficient VSV budding.
