Target Information
IkB-alpha는 NF-κB 활성을 억제하는 40 kDa 단백질로, 세포질에서 NF-κB와 결합하여 핵으로의 이동을 차단합니다. TNF-α, IL-1β, LPS, UV, 바이러스 감염 등 다양한 자극에 의해 IkB-alpha가 분해되면 NF-κB가 활성화되어 유전자 발현이 촉진됩니다.
IkB-alpha는 14번 염색체 q arm에 위치하며, Ser32 및 Ser36에서의 인산화는 IkB 분해를 유도합니다. 이 과정은 IkB kinase alpha (IKKα)에 의해 매개되며, NF-κB 활성화에 필수적입니다. IKK 복합체는 IKKα, IKKβ, IKKγ의 세 서브유닛으로 구성되어 있으며, 각 단백질은 IkB 인산화에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
