Target Information
eIF5A2 is an mRNA-binding protein involved in translation elongation and mRNA turnover, likely acting downstream of decapping. It plays roles in actin dynamics, cell cycle progression, mRNA decay, stress response, and maintenance of cell integrity. Functions as a regulator of apoptosis and mediates polyamine effects on neuronal process extension and survival. May be important in brain development and skeletal muscle stem cell differentiation.
