Target Information
Cystic Fibrosis (CF)는 CFTR(cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator) 유전자의 돌연변이에 의해 발생하는 대표적인 유전성 질환입니다. CFTR은 cAMP에 의해 조절되는 염화이온 채널로, 약 70%의 CF 환자에서 phenylalanine이 508번 위치에서 결실된 delta F508 변이가 발견됩니다. 이 변이는 비정상적인 염화이온 수송을 유발하여 폐 및 간 질환을 포함한 다양한 병리적 결과를 초래합니다. 또한, Salmonella typhi가 CFTR을 통해 장 상피세포에 침투하며, delta F508 변이를 가진 생쥐 모델에서 S. typhi의 장 점막하 흡수가 크게 감소함이 보고되었습니다.
