Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
The IL12RB1 gene encodes a type I transmembrane protein belonging to the hemopoietin receptor superfamily. It binds interleukin 12 with low affinity and forms part of the IL12 receptor complex. This protein forms a disulfide-linked oligomer required for IL12 binding activity. Coexpression with IL12RB2 leads to high-affinity IL12 binding and reconstitution of IL12-dependent signaling. Deficiency in IL12RB1 expression is associated with immunodeficiency characterized by susceptibility to severe mycobacterial and Salmonella infections. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
