Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
IGF2BP2 is a member of the IGF-II mRNA-binding protein (IMP) family. It recruits target transcripts to cytoplasmic protein-RNA complexes and contains four KH domains and two RRM domains. This protein binds to the 5′ UTR of insulin-like growth factor 2 (IGF2) mRNA to regulate IGF2 translation. Alternative transcriptional splice variants encoding different isoforms have been identified. Autoantibodies against IGF2BP2 have been detected in sera from some patients with hepatocellular carcinoma.
