Target Information

They act as surface parasites of human respiratory and urogenital tracts.
Mycoplasma pneumoniae is often the causative agent of community-acquired pneumonia.
Its affinity for respiratory epithelial cells and ability to secrete hydrogen peroxide lead to oxidative tissue damage.
