Product Specific Information
- Specificity: Specific for Measles virus.
No cross-reactivity with Mumps virus, RSV, Para 1, Para 2, or Para 3. - Purified preparations consist of >90% pure mouse monoclonal antibody purified from ascites fluid by protein A chromatography.
- Final formulation: 100 µg/mL in 0.01 M phosphate-buffered saline, pH 7.2, containing 0.1% sodium azide.
- Each vial contains 1.0 mL.
- No stabilizing proteins included.
- Store at 4°C until use.
- Working dilution to be determined by user. Suggested starting ranges:
- ICC/IF: 1:10–1:50
- ELISA: 1:20–1:200
Target Information
Measles morbillivirus (formerly Measles virus, MeV) is a single-stranded, negative-sense, enveloped, non-segmented RNA virus of the genus Morbillivirus within the family Paramyxoviridae. It is the causative agent of measles. Humans are the only known natural hosts; no animal reservoirs exist.
