Product Specific Information

• Specificity: Specific for Measles virus.
  Does not cross-react with Mumps virus, RSV, Para 1, Para 2, or Para 3.
• Purified preparations consist of >90% pure mouse monoclonal antibody purified from ascites fluid by protein A chromatography.
• Final formulation: 100 µg/mL in 0.01 M phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.2) containing 0.1% sodium azide.
• Each vial contains 1.0 mL.
• No stabilizing proteins included; store at 4°C until use.
• Working dilution should be determined by the user.
  Suggested starting ranges:
  • ICC/IF: 1:10–1:50
  • ELISA: 1:20–1:200

Target Information

Measles morbillivirus (formerly measles virus, MeV) is a single-stranded, negative-sense, enveloped, non-segmented RNA virus of the genus Morbillivirus within the family Paramyxoviridae. It causes measles in humans, which are the only known natural hosts. No animal reservoirs are known to exist.
