Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
HSPBAP1 (HSPB-associated protein 1), also known as PASS1, is a 488-amino acid cytoplasmic protein containing one JMJC (Jumonji C) domain and shares 80% identity with its rat homolog. It is widely expressed, with highest levels in ovary, thymus, and pancreas, and is implicated in cellular stress response regulation. The JMJC domain suggests a role in chromatin remodeling. Genetic defects or translocations in HSPBAP1 are associated with renal cell carcinoma 1 (RCC1), indicating its potential involvement in carcinogenesis. Three isoforms exist due to alternative splicing.
