Target Information
Tyrosine phosphorylation plays a crucial role in mitogenic signal transduction, cell cycle progression, and oncogenic transformation. Antibodies specific to phosphorylated tyrosine residues are essential for studying tyrosine-phosphorylated proteins and their biochemical pathways. The fluorescein (FITC) conjugate of clone PY20 anti-phosphotyrosine is particularly useful for detecting P-Tyr proteins in immunohistochemical and immunocytochemical assays, especially when secondary antibody use may complicate detection.
