Product Specific Information
Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This phospho-specific polyclonal antibody is specific for phosphorylated pS276 human p65. Reactivity with non-phosphorylated pS267 is minimal. Cross-reactivity with pS276 phosphorylated p65 from mouse, rat, or other species has not been determined.
Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-kB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene and is located on chromosome 11 in humans. Also known as RelA, it belongs to the Rel family of proteins and forms part of the NF-kB complex that heterodimerizes with p50 or p52.
Upon TNFα binding to its receptor, IKK is phosphorylated, leading to phosphorylation and proteasomal degradation of IκB. NF-kB p65 plays a key role in transcriptional regulation of the immunoglobulin κ gene in mature B-lymphoid cells.
