Target Information
GRAMD4, also known as Death Inducing Protein, is a 578-amino acid multi-pass membrane protein containing one GRAM domain. It localizes to the mitochondrial membrane and its overexpression induces apoptosis via caspase-3 activation and PARP cleavage. GRAMD4 is expressed in lung tissue and primary lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), and its expression is upregulated by E2F-1 after treatment with 4-hydroxytamoxifen. These characteristics suggest GRAMD4 may serve as a potential target for cancer therapy.
