ETS-1은 E26 erythroblastosis virus에서 분리된 v-Ets 온코진과의 상동성을 기반으로 확인된 유전자 계열의 원형 멤버입니다. 이 ETS 유전자 패밀리에는 ETS-1, ETS-2, ERG-1, ERG-2, ELK, E74, FLI-1, PU.1, PEA3 등이 포함됩니다. ETS 계열 유전자는 다양한 조직에서 발현되며, SV40 large T 항원의 핵 내 위치 신호 서열과 유사한 서열을 포함하는 고도로 보존된 C-말단 도메인을 공유합니다.
