Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
PDGFRA is a cell surface receptor tyrosine kinase that binds members of the platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) family. These growth factors act as mitogens for cells of mesenchymal origin. The specific ligand bound determines whether the receptor functions as a homodimer or heterodimer (with PDGFRβ).
Knockout mouse studies indicate that PDGFRA is essential for kidney development, as heterozygous mice display defective kidney phenotypes.
