Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The MEF2D gene belongs to the myocyte-specific enhancer factor 2 (MEF2) family of transcription factors.
These factors regulate muscle and neuronal cell differentiation and development, and are modulated by class II histone deacetylases.
Fusions with DAZAP1 due to chromosomal translocation have been identified in acute lymphoblastic leukemia, suggesting a role in leukemogenesis.
MEF2D may also be implicated in Parkinson’s disease and myotonic dystrophy.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
