Product Specific Information
This antibody was generated to a peptide corresponding to the C-intron 4-encoded sequence. It does not cross-react with the full-length HLA-G1 isoform, allowing clear distinction between secreted HLA-G5 and HLA-G6 isoforms and shedded HLA-G1.
Target Information
HLA-G belongs to the HLA class I heavy chain paralogues. This molecule is a heterodimer consisting of a heavy chain and a light chain (beta-2 microglobulin). The heavy chain (~45 kDa) is membrane-anchored and encoded by a gene with 8 exons:
- Exon 1: Leader peptide
- Exons 2–3: α1 and α2 domains (peptide-binding)
- Exon 4: α3 domain
- Exon 5: Transmembrane region
- Exon 6: Cytoplasmic tail
HLA-G is expressed on fetal-derived placental cells.
HLA and MHC antibodies are essential tools in Immunopeptidomics, supporting the identification and characterization of neoantigens via LC-MS/MS.
