Product Specific Information

This antibody recognizes both membrane-bound and soluble forms of HLA-G (HLA-G1 and HLA-G5).
HLA-G is a nonclassical MHC Class I molecule expressed on trophoblast cells.
It does not cross-react with mouse or rat.
Endotoxin level is less than 0.01 EU/µg of protein (LAL test).
For IHC (Frozen): incubation 20 min at 25°C; functional application includes blocking.


Target Information

HLA-G belongs to the HLA Class I heavy chain family. It forms a heterodimer with β2-microglobulin and is expressed on fetal-derived placental cells.
The heavy chain (~45 kDa) gene has 8 exons:

  • Exon 1: leader peptide
  • Exons 2–3: α1, α2 domains (peptide-binding)
  • Exon 4: α3 domain
  • Exon 5: transmembrane region
  • Exon 6: cytoplasmic tail

HLA and MHC antibodies are important in Immunopeptidomics for identifying and characterizing neoantigens via HPLC-MS/MS.
