Target Information
Noggin is involved in numerous developmental processes, such as neural tube fusion and joint formation. Organ morphogenesis is initiated by downgrowth from epithelial stem cells, regulated by WNT3A (stabilizing β-catenin) and Noggin, a bone morphogenetic protein inhibitor. Mutations in Noggin are associated with proximal symphalangism (SYM1) and multiple synostoses syndrome (SYNS1), characterized by multiple joint fusions.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
