Product Specific Information

• Heat-mediated antigen retrieval using sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0) is recommended for paraffin sections.
• For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10^6 cells in 100 µL.
• Mouse anti-Dog CD3 antibody (clone CA17.2A12) recognizes canine CD3 antigen expressed by thymocytes and mature T lymphocytes.

Target Information

The CD3 subunit complex is crucial for transducing antigen-recognition signals into the cytoplasm of T cells and regulating surface expression of the TCR complex.
CD3 subunits (gamma, delta, epsilon, zeta) are structurally related immunoglobulin superfamily members encoded by genes on human chromosome 11.
These subunits associate with cytoplasmic signal transduction molecules via double tyrosine-based motifs.
CD3 is involved in TCR-induced growth arrest, cell survival, and proliferation.
It is expressed on 68–82% of normal peripheral blood lymphocytes and 65–85% of thymocytes, but not on B or NK cells.
Decreased T lymphocyte percentages may occur in autoimmune diseases.
Defects in CD3 genes are associated with CD3 immunodeficiency.
