This antibody does not react with mouse collagen types I and III, human collagen types IV and V, mouse fibronectin, or mouse laminin.
Target Information
Collagen IV is a major structural component of the basement membrane found in tissues such as kidneys, lungs, and skin. It forms a supportive network composed of three alpha chains encoded by COL4A1, COL4A2, and COL4A3 genes. Mutations in these genes can cause genetic disorders including Alport syndrome and Goodpasture syndrome, which affect kidney and lung function.
