Anti-STAT3 antibody is affinity purified and directed against the phosphorylated form of human STAT3 protein at Tyr705. It specifically recognizes the phosphorylated STAT3 form, showing minimal reactivity with the non-phosphorylated protein by ELISA and Western blot. BLAST analysis indicates cross-reactivity with STAT3 from human, mouse, rat, and pig due to 100% sequence homology with the immunogen. Reactivity with homologues from other species is unknown.

Target Information

STAT3 (Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 3) is a transcription factor activated by cytokines and growth factors via phosphorylation by receptor-associated kinases. Upon activation, STAT3 translocates to the nucleus and regulates gene expression related to cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis.
