Product Specific Information
Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This purified antibody is directed against human SUMO Activating Enzyme E1 protein and is specific for human SAE1.
BLAST analysis suggests cross-reactivity with SUMO Activating Enzyme E1 protein from:
- Human (100%)
- Bovine, Dog, Chimpanzee (96%)
- Mouse (93%)
- Rat (92%)
Cross reactivity against other sources has not been determined.
Target Information
Posttranslational modification of proteins by SUMO (see SUMO1), or sumoylation, regulates protein structure and intracellular localization.
SAE1 and UBA2 form a heterodimer functioning as a SUMO-activating enzyme for protein sumoylation (Okuma et al., 1999).
