Product Specific Information
This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:
- Better specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulation
- Broad immunoreactivity due to the large rabbit immune repertoire
This antibody has specificity for Human GSTZ1.
Target Information
The GSTZ1 gene is part of the glutathione S-transferase (GSTs) superfamily, encoding multifunctional enzymes essential for detoxifying electrophilic molecules such as carcinogens, mutagens, and therapeutic drugs via conjugation with glutathione.
This enzyme also contributes to the catabolism of phenylalanine and tyrosine. Defects in this enzyme may cause severe metabolic disorders including alkaptonuria, phenylketonuria, and tyrosinaemia. Multiple transcript variants encode several protein isoforms.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
