Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and expressed, and the best clones are selected for production.

This antibody specifically recognizes Human GPNMB/Osteoactivin.
Target Information
The GPNMB gene encodes a type I transmembrane glycoprotein homologous to the melanocyte-specific pMEL17 precursor. GPNMB is expressed in lowly metastatic human melanoma cell lines and xenografts but not in highly metastatic lines. It may play a role in growth delay and reduction of metastatic potential. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
