Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. Antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select optimal production candidates.

Target Information
CD14 is a 55 kDa GPI-anchored glycoprotein expressed on monocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils. It acts as a multifunctional lipopolysaccharide (LPS) receptor and is released into serum as secreted or cleaved forms. CD14 binds LPS via LBP (lipopolysaccharide-binding protein) and plays a role in neutralizing serum LPS through lipoprotein particles.
Soluble sCD14 can recognize structural differences in LPS molecules and is involved in apoptotic cell binding, allergic, inflammatory, and infectious processes.
Alternative splicing produces multiple transcript variants encoding the same CD14 isoform.
Diseases associated with CD14 dysfunction include Mycobacterium chelonae infection and croup.
