Target Information
HSV는 헤르페스 바이러스 계열(Herpesviridae)에 속하며, Herpes Simplex Virus types 1과 2 (HSV-1, HSV-2)는 인간에게 널리 전염됩니다. 각각 Human herpes virus 1과 2 (HHV-1, HHV-2)로도 알려져 있으며, HSV-1은 주로 구강 헤르페스를, HSV-2는 생식기 헤르페스를 유발합니다. 감염된 사람이 바이러스를 배출할 때 전파되며, 바이러스 입자는 큰 이중가닥 선형 DNA 게놈을 캡시드와 바이러스 외피로 감싸는 형태를 가집니다. HSV는 70개 이상의 open reading frame (ORF)을 가지며, 알츠하이머병과의 연관성이 보고되었습니다.
