Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The human UNG gene encodes both nuclear (UNG2) and mitochondrial (UNG1) forms of uracil-DNA glycosylase, generated by alternative splicing and distinct promoters (PA and PB).
UNG1 (304 aa) and UNG2 (313 aa) differ in their N-terminal sequences. These enzymes repair mutagenic U:G mispairs caused by cytosine deamination. Expression of UNG is cell cycle regulated and generally higher in proliferating cells and tissues.
