Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, an additional desalting step is recommended (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Galectins are a family of beta-galactoside-binding proteins involved in cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions.
LGALS3BP levels are elevated in the serum of cancer and HIV-infected patients. It is implicated in immune responses involving NK and LAK cell cytotoxicity.
The full-length 90K cDNA is localized to chromosome 17q25. The native protein binds to the macrophage-associated lectin Mac-2 and galectin-1.
